ElleyMate™ is designed to reduce the risk of early-stage fire effects spreading from Li-ion and Li-Po cells. ElleyMate™ provides a protected internal space for charging and storing portable battery-powered electronics. When the temperature inside the protected space rises, it responds mechanically by closing the protected space and releasing a loose inert mineral medium, helping to limit the spread of fire effects at an early stage. The system is designed so that its basic protective function requires no electrical power, water or gas. A suitable and sufficient workplace risk assessment identifies real hazards and leads to proportionate, workable controls. With its thoughtful localized design, straightforward placement and accessible pricing, ElleyMate™ can be considered as one supplementary protective measure in battery-charging areas.

Why ElleyMate™
Thermally activated function
The mechanical closing of the device and the release of loose inert medium are designed so that the basic protective function does not require electrical power.
Structural protection of the space
The device construction is designed so that, together with the inert medium, it helps limit the transfer of heat, flame and fumes to the surroundings.
Loose inert medium
At elevated temperature, the closing and discharge mechanism is mechanically released and the inert medium enters the protected space.
Status signaling
Depending on the connection method, the device can provide a status signal to a higher-level signaling, monitoring or other safety system.
